I had an instructor say something in passing to me that’s stuck with me ever since. I don’t remember what exactly we were discussing, but the comment that she made was, “Intuition is simply the subconscious mind connecting the dots faster than your conscious mind.”
People tend to think that intuition is some mystical, ethereal force. It’s not. As with most things, your brain has the ability to draw reasonable conclusions from a body of physical evidence and previous experience. There’s nothing magical or spiritual or precognitive about it; some parts of your mind literally just work faster than you realize.
